Chapter Nine

            The girls were in the backyard of the Doe residence, prepared for battle.

            "You guys, we can't just barge in there and attack.  We don't have proof that whoever lives in that house is in fact a member of the secret society."  Amy said

            “Okay, then, I’m, calling Glinda and I’m going to tell her to meet us somewhere so we can talk.  Do you have her e-mail, Amy?” Serena asked.  Amy nodded.  The girls went back into the guest house and logged on to the Internet.  Amy compiled this letter to Glinda:

Dear Glinda,

We understand your message.  However, we wish to discuss the matter with you.  Meet us at the park near the Doe residence; the one where the Rangers first attacked us.  We will not fight; we want to discuss the matter.

The Sailor Scouts and the Sailor Guardians.

            Amy clicked ‘send’ and the letter was on its way.  Swiftly a reply entered Amy’s inbox.  The girls gawked at eachother.  “That’s the Internet for you.”  Amy said as she opened the e-mail.  It was simple.

Dear Sailor Scouts,

I will meet you at the aforementioned location.  Be sure to bring a disk with the computer files.  I will bring Darian and the Rangers with me.

Vice President of the Pink Mafia

            “All right, let me copy these files and we can go,” Amy said.  The others nodded and once the files were copied, they left.

            Glinda, the Rangers, and Darian were all at the park.  Darian was handcuffed and chained.  He looked hungry and tired.  The Scouts and Guardians arrived fifteen minutes later.  Sailor Mercury waved the disk in the air.

            “All right.  We’ve purged our computers of any files concerning your society.  We will give it to you when you release Darian.”  Sailor Mercury said.  Glinda shook her head.

            “I’m not doing anything until that disk is in my hand.”  She replied.  “Look, we’re honest people.  The disk for your hostage.  It’s that simple.” Sailor Mercury said.  The Blue Ranger frowned.

            “How do we know it’s not a trick?  You lot are giving up rather easily.” He said.

            “Well, we’re due to return to Japan next week.  I guess we’ll have to find another way to defeat you.  But for now, you win the battle.  So take the disk and give me my boyfriend back,” Sailor Moon said.  Glinda turned to the Rangers.  “Give the boy to them, Red.  The Black Ranger will obtain the disk,” Glinda commanded.  The Red Ranger uncuffed Darian and removed his chains.  Darian rushed to Sailor Moon.  The Black Ranger took the disk from Sailor Mercury.

            “All right.  You lot have until next week to get out of here.  If you don’t, it may mean your lives.  Goodnight.”  Glinda took the disk from the Black Ranger and the group left.

            The next day the Scouts were at the Guardians’ headquarters.  The night before the girls went to bed, extremely tired and dismal.

            “I can’t believe we did that…” Serena said.  Amy stood up before the girls.

            “Here’s how it went.  I copied the files onto a floppy disk.  The files have been deleted from the computer’s hard drive—for now.  I put a Trojan horse virus on the disk I gave to Horse Lady.  Last night, I hacked into their system and found out a way to take down their mechanized army.  Instead of shutting them down completely, I programmed them to attack the secret society instead of all the innocent people.  I changed the password that enables them to log into the system and change files.  I highly doubt they’ll figure out how to get back into the program.  It is quite evident someone else wrote that program.  Mr. Putter—their computer man—isn’t computer-literate enough to figure out what I did.  Hopefully, they won’t find out what I did.  I think we should go to the site of attack anyway, just to make sure our plan works.” Amy said.  The other girls were impressed.

            “Wow, Amy, you are so smart!  Let’s hope this plan works.”  Charlotte said.  The others nodded their heads in agreement.

            “You know, today is the day.  They’re planning to attack Gloucestershire today.  We need to transform and get down there pronto.” Mina said. 

            “Right.  Lets get this show on the road!”  Lita shouted.  The sailor soldiers cheered and transformed, pumped for battle…

Sailor Moon Says

Serena:  Wow, Luna, this is amazing!  We’re gonna kick some major bootie!

Luna:  Well, we get to see the Pink Mafia’s machines do all the bootie-kicking.  As Charlotte said, lets hope this plan works.

Serena:  Which brings an important message to mind.  Don’t be afraid to try new things, but be cautious!  And if it doesn’t go right the first time, try again, and learn from your mistakes.

Luna:  Wow…now I have nothing to say…

Serena:  Hey, I’m getting good at this.  Anyways, remember what I said!  Sailor Moon Says!  Tee hee!
